31st July 2020

Hi Everyone,on this last day of July I want to tell you the up to date position with the Social Club and the Caravan Park. What we can and cannot do with regard to Covid 19 regulations seems to be changeing daily. Up to last night we had an artiste booked for tomorrow night the 1st August, this was Rob Johnson a Club favourite. We also had an artiste Mick Dee anoother Club favourite booked for saturday the 8th August, and a band 'Winston' for another Saturday in August. However, Boris announced this morning here would be no live music in front of an audience for at least a fortnight. The club concert room is operating at roughly half capacity with tables and chairs 2 metres apart. There will be no dancing only Bingo and a Quiz night on a Monday night. The club is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Our Steward Pete and the staff will serve you at the bar taking orders and payment by one person, with the drinks being served at the other end of the bar. Please comply with the social distancing. We know it's a totally diferent way of having a drink, but at least we're open to members and their guests and our caravan and motorhome visitors. As from today we will be allowing members and guests children into the concert room, providing they sit with parents and do not run around either inside or outside. We will be playing bingo friday, saturday and sunday in the concert room. There are hand sanitisers in the club, please sign in with Gordon our doorman and hand sanitise. On using the toilets plese sanitise anything you touch ( within reason no comments please !). Our main concern is keeping everyone safe, that's our staff, all our visitors, and our committee. We all know the government's guidelines so everyone please adhere to them and respect everyone. With regard to the caravan park, since we were able to reopen the phone has been very busy with bookings and we do not have many weekend spaces left during the illumunations which now run to the end of the first week of January. We still have midweek vacancies, but these are filling up quickly. If you want to book , please phone either Sammy or Ron in the caravan office on 01253 341020. You can also enquire by email on hrcp22@gmail.com. You cannot book on line yet, only by telephone. We have opened the new toilet and shower block for our caravan and motorhome visitors, and are asking all the people using this facility to again observe the guidelines. Only 2 people in at any one time; there are hand hygiene units in both the ladies and gents so please use these on anything you may use ie the toilets, wash basin and showers. Please use common sense, unlike some recent visitors who left both the ladies and gents in a disgusting state. This facility has cost a lot of money, so please respect it, and inform our caravan managers if there are any breakages or if it has been left in a mess. We hope everyone enjoys their visit and their stay with us. At the moment it is what it is. It will be with us for the foreseeable future, so lets make of it the best we can. I would ask all caravanners and motorhome visitors not to leave the site without informing the caravan manager as the metal swing barrier has to be opened manually. Unlike someone who left last weekend and drove into the barrier causing damage to his van and the barrier. it wasn't the first time, so be warned ! The TV company who visited us a couple of years ago are returning to film again during August and September, and if anyone has an anniversary or a bithday whilst they are here, let our managers know as soon as you arrive as the TV company may wish to interview you. God forbid! Many thanks, Barrie (Secretary)

Thursday 29 August 2019

Hi Everyone,

Just to ask all caravanners and motor home visitors to please bear with us over the next few weeks as we are adding some additional security to our car park.

We cannot add a barrier to the entrance to the car park so we are putting up fencing on either side of the yellow lines directing vehicles to the actual caravan site. There will be access on each fence to park and for dray wagons and deliveries to access the back of the club.

We feel that this action is necessary to ensure the safety of our visitors to our site and also to our employees and club members and guests.

Thank you,

The committee

Price Increase

In view of rising admin costs, from the 1st of July 2019 our charges for the summer months until the end of the illuminations in early November, will increase to £28 per night Monday to Thursday inclusive and £31 per night for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday stay. All these prices will still include electric as previous. We will also continue discounts for a stay in the winter months.

Also from the 1st July 2019 all hook-ups will have a 16amp connection.

Our new toilet and shower block should be open to all our caravan and motor home visitors in May, it has taken a while to complete but we are sure everyone will be pleased with the outcome.

Please remember your caravan or motor home will not fit under the closed swing barrier, you must be let on and off by our caravan manager or other designated person. Your grey fob will only open the up/over barrier to allow a car to pass.

Thank you, look forward to seeing everyone.

New Toilet/Shower Block

May I take this opportunity to apologise to all our caravan and motor home visitors and friends for the delay in building our new toilet and shower block.

Outline planning permission has been given by the planning authority at Blackpool Town Hall, and we are currently in the throws of obtaining the necessary quotes to build the shower block and to furnish the interior to the standard we want. We shall keep you informed of the various stages of the work once all the prices have been agreed.

We know our current facilities are basic and have served a purpose, but space is limited within that block so hence a brand new facility is needed. Please bear with us for the near future. Both Sammy and Ron who manage the site are available for any further information.
